Wendy Seligman Lewis has been creating artwork in multiple mediums since she was a teenager. After studying at the Art Students League with Lennart Anderson and at the New York Studio School with Leland Bell, Mercedes Matter, Milton Resnick, and Peter Agostini, she has worked on three primary series. Her self-portraits date back to 1970 and have been featured in three retrospective one-woman shows. Her Maine landscapes, dating back to the early 1980s, have been regularly exhibited in galleries in and around Blue Hill, Maine, and in a one-woman exhibition at the University of Maine Museum of Art in Orono. A focus in recent years, the dot paintings were exhibited in a one-woman show at the Newton Free Library in 2021.
